| It's being purposed in our school district as well, and I'm against it. There are too many kids that depend on the help of teachers, aids, a school breakfast, a school lunch, and friends to take that day of school away. There are too many kids that need those things, that are going home to parents who don't care, meals that aren't made, love that isn't there. They need school. Our area is also lacking daycare options, everyone is full, so who is going to watch these kids on the day they aren't at school during the week? Parents who are tied to a job 5 days a week that can't get away? Hope grandparents or relatives are around to help?
I think it's a cluster, and if it gets to the point of public meetings, I will be there, and I will be vocal about it. | |
