| What are your needs, uses? A service bed would not work well for me. A flatbed could. But I would need to secure stuff every time. Now I toss 32qt cooler with stuff, tool box, extra tire.. close endgate. I can drive 3000 miles they will not fall out. (Stolen maybe) a flatbed? It might fall out before highway.
But I can only haul 1 pallet. Flatbed 2 is possible *if not heavy*. Again needs to be strapped.
Ask yourself “would this be easier with a flatbed?”
Often they are heavier, and HIGHER. Trucks are too tall already.
Loaded 38 bags 40lb each with another guy in 96 F-150. Easy. Loading a dozen similar bags in wife’s 2003 F-150 is tough. It’s @7” higher. Feels like a foot by 6th bag. | |
