Floyd County, Iowa
Warren and Rick S.-

If it ever happened that the greenies got fossil fuel eliminated, that would be the force to fold me. I don't foresee that happening in my lifetime.
In the past, whenever I (foolishly) decided to wade into the EV fray, I've always said that the EV was not the answer, and I haven't waivered from that. I did say a few weeks ago that diesel/electric had possibilities, and here's the link to the thread, so you can read it.

I've also said in the past that I thought that EVs had possibilities for commuting to work, school etc, as long as it was shorter trips, but NOT for long distances or heavy hauling. I don't see how a totally electric system could possibly work for anything other than the commutes.
That is about as pro-ev as I get, which isn't very pro-ev. My comment in this thread up above, like the comment in the link supplied, were only offered as the only possibilities of any form of EV for farming or heavy hauling, IMO. And I didn't say that diesel/electric was the answer, either. Just a possibility, but as the link to Edison shows, it's still in the experimental/development stages.
I wasn't promoting EVs, and I don't know how it could be construed to say that I was. Maybe time to stay out of the EV fray,........ again.

edit: And I was actually more interested in the process of research and development and the building of it than anything else. I like that stuff.
