You could have "scuffed" the rings. If the cylinder was hot enough the oil would have been burned off the cylinder wall and the rings were run dry when you shut down. Now it will push just a small amount of oil and when you are under load the rings will have more pressure on them therefore sealing better loosing the blue smoke. Keep an eye on your oil and hopefully they will run in again and not carbon up your cylinders real bad before that happens.
