| MaineFarmer - 11/30/2023 09:05 IMO it would be foolish to buy some and then sell them after a quick use,,nothing loses 5 grand quicker than a new sled..20 grand is 15 grand the moment you leave the toy store.Rental cost I am assuming comes with a liability policy that goes with the sled.If you register in Quebec half of the near 500$ annual trail pass is for insurance.Granted its a season.Rent suit?Helmet ? I cant rent a helmet as others old breath would make me puke...have fun ,,,tell the wife that the throttle is attached to the grim reaper and do not try to keep up...
Only an idiot would buy a new sled for a 1-time use, used are a dime a dozen, buy a good deal, ride it, sell for the same or a few hundred less. Of course, some people have no clue what to look for in a used machine, nor how to get a good deal, they should stick to renting.
Even WITH their "insurance" you will be charged $3500 for anything other than minor damage, add that to a $2K rental fee it's a no brainer for me,
