I know nothing of New Holland or Case heads, but an 8 row in 150 bushel corn will let you get all the way around and back to truck. A 12 row in 150 bushel corn wouldn't get you back to the truck and that sucks. I plant 8 and pick 6 and the biggest reason I stayed with 6 is because I can get to the trucks most of the time and don't have someone to run a grain cart.

Thank you. That's definitely something I'm taking into consideration. I've never sat down and done the math, but I wonder at what yield I could make it back to the truck with a 12 row. With having to harvest some headland on the opposite end to torn around, 8 just might be the right answer for me.
