North Liberty and South Bend, Indiana | There are a lot of common parts between the Flagship and CR machines that can be had from either a red or yellow dealer. In my opinion the CR's are less prone to common issues. There is no cone/cage wear. There is no feederhouse drive shaft/gearbox issue. No chopper bearing issues and chopper is on the back of the combine rather than up inside. No tendency to load one side of the cleaning shoe. Not sure if that makes much difference or not though. I would at least highly consider a CR and demo one or two if possible. If you're looking at an 8090 I'm pretty sure that is a wide body 22" rotor machine. A 7090 should be a narrow body 17" rotor machine. We run a 9065 which would be a 7090 essentially. Will do 2500-3000 bph in 22% corn with no lack of power at all. Will do 1000-1200 bph in soybeans but you're hovering at 100% engine load. However, it takes a 42' header in 50 bushel beans to hit those bph at a reasonable 4ish mph. |
