How many bushels per hour do you expect to shell in each of your crops, and what models are you looking at? We went from a class 8 2012 NH to the class 7 CIH from 2013 running corn and soybeans. Each machine has some advantages that are crop specific. I was surprised, but the class 7 CIH has better grain quality and will run faster in corn. The NH was a hoss in beans (and probably small grains).
Looked at a couple 8090’s. Not sure about the size smaller or series older. With an 8 row corn head, my 2388 is pretty efficient, with my yields. In beans, especially during the first two weeks of harvest I’d like to go to a 36’ draper, have more horsepower, when beans are at their toughest. |
