Near-north Ontario, French River | I think his point is... if you lived in a mud hut, made $100US a year in wages... etc... ie a whole other level of poverty none of us could understand, you'd resort to the same types of things to survive... I mean just look in the corners of old barns to see the handywork of our forefathers that grew up in the depression.. look at some of the repairs they made to make do when they couldn't afford to buy new parts. Would those bearings last long in a high load, high speed application? Of course not but we dont know what they may be using them for... could be a low speed, cyclic type deal where if they keep pouring the grease to the bearing it could last months or even years. |
