Southeast Colorado | We've been running 80 pair for several years here. They live on the scraps off the farm. They make us money. But as I age.........my desire to keep that enterprise running is waning. But I never cared much for cows anyway. They are just a nice fit for this country where it's easier to grow forage than grain.
We used to run quite a few stockers through the winter. But sickness and death loss took the fun out of that over a decade ago. I don't need the experience for the sake of getting the experience anymore. | |
