Afraid of work? .. or prolly would have hired work.. but i’d work my butt off for 100k…sounds like people want it easy.
You made at least $1000 on every spread you put on the last few days just clicking the mouse or tapping a screen a few times!!! Why would you want to work as hard as you HAVE to work owning and caring for cows?!?!? I’m the guy that owns 200 mommas that spends as little time as possible with them to make it work. I have to spend my time in other enterprises to make a living. If I didn’t clear $25-50k a year spec trading and hedging them, 8 of 10 years I’d lose on the cow calf enterprise. When I think of all the guys within 25 miles of me that have been seriously injured or killed (7 dead 10+ injured) by cattle or doing something with/for cattle I feel even more jaded. Those casualties are just in the last 20 years.
$100k isn’t near enough for keeping 500, IMO. I don’t think it’s enough for 200 but someone else will always be there to replace me for “the lifestyle”. There are plenty unjaded cowboys out there willing to work for free.
