It depends on how close you want to drill a hole to a building or against a fence. I had a chain drive for a skid loader and it kept the hole too far from a wall. I ended up getting a planatery drove and can drill right up against a wall with a 12" auger. this is an Edge brand digger for a skid loader. They are part of the Gehl/Manitou family.
