north central Iowa, Hampton | If you're asking about the Decked brand, I have one on my work truck.
Pros: Stuff stays dry and reasonably dust free even when I'm on gravel a lot. The drawers work easy. You can put stuff on top of it (around a ton). It has a fair bit of capacity in two drawers.
Cons: If you're working on a project in the field, you can't really use the tailgate as a work bench, since the drawers have to open over it. You need to store stuff in boxes inside the drawers--throw a chisel or a hammer in the drawer and you'll be hunting for it, since it's going to work its way down and forward. There are some slip in dividers and they work ok until you get really bouncing around a field, then they also slip out... When hauling stuff on top of the box, it starts out a foot higher and the box covers up most of the factory tie-downs.
It's a compromise and if you can work with it, it's ok. I think I'd get more use from having tools in the back seat of a crew cab and retaining the full box. Oh, yeah and it's kind of pricey.
