| My dad always talked about 54,55,56. They where dry, but they did get timely rains in 55 and 56. Yields where respectable for how dry the years where. 54 was the worse because it was hotter and drier. It was warm in fall as he would tell. They had mounted corn pickers then. It would get hot on tractor in the afternoon. Normally you would enjoy the heat coming off tractor , but not those years. | |
