I don't know the difference between the two. But we have a gates machine and have been using megatuff hose. And so far it's performed really well. It's suppose to be more uv resistant than regular hose. It's expensive though, but if you're looking for uv resistance you may consider it. Our implements sit outside also so they're exposed.
