| Got the repairs and its working waaay better.
The guy I took it too, did the tests and such on it and the heater cooler was total. The pipe running to it was plugged solid , with soot and coolant. He said the EGR valve, was changed before on the tractor. The head Gasket was fine, so that was a great, as no motor tear down.
The guy that does my tough mechanical problem , is a very up to date on the John Deere stuff. He even said it sounds like the head gasket also, until he got it in the shop. He could of , just did the head gasket anyways and I wouldn't of know the difference.
I figure the guy that owned the tractor before me , likely thought there was something serious wrong with it. As putting the EGR valve never solved his problem.
