SW Missouri | Several years ago a coal company moved a dragline about 25 miles cross country close to where I'm at. They pulled a big genset around with an old White 4wd as they moved along. One mine had closed and sold it for scrap price to the other. The new owners ran it for about 10 years before they went broke. It got cut up for scrap a couple years ago when scrap got high. The farmers that they went across were well compensated for the inconvenience. One guy said he hoped they would go across his place several times for what they paid. | |
