Subject: RE: Track tractor in snow

Southeast Washington
Washington does things a little different. Had a private contractor groom our trails with about 1986 Pisten Bully with a Cummins until he quite. Currently we have our ski area contact from our trails as they totally surround our sky area. It is a modern Pisten Bully but almost too big for our right trails. The rest of their groomers are Prinoth. Across the stateline into Oregon they are home of Tuckers.

The main point of my original post was that Challengers aren't totally helpless in snow. But when they spin then it is a different story whether snow or mud. I understand the bigger draft causes more problems but that is true of any tractors. This spring in our wet hills our quads were having more problems than our Challengers as you turn them up the hill to stay on the hill then the quad went down while the Challengers were always pulling straight and the hydraulic swinging drawbar was used to hold the load straight on the hill.
