Latimer Iowa | Spreaders look similar in the literature, never been around a Kuhn. Price difference is reflecting a brand new Tebbe 240, around $220,000, to a four year old Kuhn coming up on auction and the max I would want to pay for it. New vs used, I have pitched off smaller spreaders, can’t imagine pitching one of these big pigs. A year ago a new Tebbe was 40,000 for then a new artex of similar size. We stuck with Tebbe and have been happy with it. Used to have a Meyer 700 and spread pattern was terrible, the newer ones with spinners are better I am sure but never been around them either.
Seems like Tebbes are the premium but I am getting cheap as only need a second spreader for around 10,000 ton a year. | |
