Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | Yes, that is a Raven 460. It is really a 7 boom 450 that does not have a built in Master or section switches. Some other switch box, joystick, or other device handles the section control.
In your case it appears that a Master and section control are done via the joystick. Originally if the Master and section switch(es) were ON, 12Volts were sent to the appropriate valve(s) to open them AND 12V was sent to the Raven 460 to inform it as to which sections were ON.
When auto swath gets involved the section switches no longer directly control the boom section valves. They act as inputs to another system that makes the decision of whether to open the valve or leave it closed.
This usually involves a wiring change and some rerouting of wires to go from manual section control where the operator is in full control to auto swath where another device gets in the middle of things to make the decision as to whether a section should be ON or not.
