I would think it would work well for your situation…. We run a kmc Philips rotary harrow in corn stalks, cotton stalks , and soybean residue to incorporate rye seed for cover crop. It just lightly fluffs the top inch or two of our loamy sand soils. We had a phoenix to start with. I prefer the folding mechanism of the kmc to that of the phoenix, if the kmc is an option for you.
