Latimer Iowa | We are looking at adding another spreader to our operation. Currently have a HS 200 Tebbe with an extra sideboard. Has the ISO raven controls and have been very happy with it. Only issue is new ones are very expensive. If go with another Tebbe it will be an HS 240 set up the same which would be nice for operators.
I ran onto a 2020 Kuhn Knight PXL 1100. It is about the same size and can be equipped with ISO controls but they would be different then the Tebbe's. We have had Kuhn feedwagons and been happy with them. Low use but has sat outside.
There a good dealers for both fairly close although the Tebbe dealer certainly stocks more parts. I think he could build a spreader with parts on hand and is very knowledgeable. Kuhn dealer is good but not many of these spreaders around so not alot of experience there.
The used Kuhn would be about half price of a new Tebbe. Would we hate the Kuhn? Is it worth the extra 100,000 to have both spreaders the same brand? does anyone run one of these or one similar? Both spreaders would have the spinner attachment for litter but with the Kuhn I would also have the vertical beater attachment and silage sides if ever wanted to use them. | |
