You ought to be able to tap into the existing Hagie wiring. Find a convenient place to tap into and or cut the wiring and add a Deere module for section control. Probably you can just plug into the Raven wiring with an adapter and use Deere components from there.

When we put a Trimble on our STS12, (S/N #008, a 2000 m.y.) I cut the wires at the right front junction box and wired the Trimble Module directly to the valve wiring there. THe wiring came from the cab and into that junction box. I put connectors and dummy plugs so after a simple un plug and re connection, the original Hagie wiring was re connected.

This bypassed completely all of the OEM section controls in the cab because our monitor could handle it with it's own display and switch box.

For rate control we added a flow meter and servo valve inline to the booms. The dump valve that the Hagie (Raven 460) used was no longer used. We left it in place but never used it. The monitor at the time couldn't run a dump valve as I was told.

We DID however leave the Raven to control the pump. Manually.

We would start the pump on manual and raise pressure to a desired pressure via a gauge I had mounted outside on the mirror mount. This measured pump pressure between the pump and servo valve.

We just used the manual increase and decrease buttons on the Raven to change the pump speed to get a desired pressure.

Agitation was unaffected, it worked from the cab as it always had.

Yes it was ghetto, but at the time we were using Trimble's TAC system and that was the best way our dealer found to control the pump and flow at the time. This was back in 2009.

It worked well enough and was simple enough I never bothered to update or changed to having the Trimble control the pump, although once FIQ was released I could have.

We used it that way for many years with no trouble until the sprayer was sold around 2020.

If the leg towers aren't too worn and otherwise it's in good shape, it's a good machine. We never had any boom trouble except for a bad piece of steel on a boom fold mount.

You'll need to find a mechanic that isn't a Deere dealer because most dealers don't know how to work on them. There is an excellent one in Illinois and one in Iowa. The parts for the hydros can be purchased from Sauer Danfoss directly. The engine is a Cummins, nuff said. The air system parts are off the shelf truck parts, a good truck shop should be able to get those.

One thing we added after a bad deal form a floater of ours was I added a set of Murphy's with a delay to the machine that monitored oil pressure and water temp. If either was out of range, a light would flash, an alarm would go off and 30 seconds later (NOT immediately) it would shut the engine down. We put them on anything old now as added safety. The 30 seconds gives an operator plenty of time to get off the road safely should something happen roading and it wouldn't just shut off the machine as a normal set of Murphy's would.
