Missouri | I would tend to agree. If your place is like mine, you're not going to enjoy feeding cows without a lot of rock or concrete. A neighbor tried it one year and his expensive new rig sit in his drive way most of that winter. He hauled a lot of gravel in and built bunk lines right on the side of the gravel road the very next year.
If I had his money I'd do the same, but I'm stuck with using a tractor and pull type. I get along without the FWA, but it's awfully sketchy at times. The old lighter pull type still comes out when the mud gets deep.
You can buy old 4x4 tractors with a decent heater for a little of nothing. Considering what trucks cost now, it might be an option for some if profit is what matters most. |
