The batteries are here now. Not enough yet but existing tech and improved scale in manufacturing them makes more available every day. Reports from Texas say that the batteries were a major factor in reducing brown outs this summer. The Texas grid came pretty close to collapsing a couple times last summer but the batteries saved the day. Look at Australia for another example of grid scale battery storage. They are being installed there, as fast as they can be manufactured. The big install at the Austin Tesla factory is about to come online. We should know more by the 2Q of 2024.
