Solenoid seems to kick in, but starter doesn’t crank engine.
Does that mean the starter spins, but, the Bendix drive does not engage the fly wheel?
If the starter spins, with out engaging the fly wheel, you either need to replace the Bendix drive or the starter. And, the Bendix going out starts as an intermittent problem, getting worse as time goes on. Might get by with cleaning and lubing the armature shaft, where the Bendix spins the starter gear out into the fly wheel. |
