Subject: RE: Rustproofing Newer Pickups

I do all our work on our vehicles, every time I change the oil in my wife's '22 Bronco I spray down the frame/underside with used oil................After one winter out in our wonderful salt brine everything still looks good on it. I tried spraying fluid film twice, got the sprayer the second time and all it did was make a mess IMO, I can put a hose on my undercoating gun and blow the oil inside areas with just a small hole, that fluid film was just a splatter mess. I have her run it through the car wash we got locally that has a great under frame wash the day before I spray the oil and it seems to work well.
