Subject: RE: Rustproofing Newer Pickups

Wisconsin
$150 every other year, if every vehicle in the rust belt got that they'd be worth more than AZ vehicles of the same age, think of the savings. I don't know of a place that will do that, and there's sure a need. I agree, rubberized rust proofing is not what you want, a lanolin wax, or sticky oil type product is better for most surfaces. A new vehicle does change that opinion slightly, there's no way I'd want to rubberize undercoat anything that has seen a winter or more, a new vehicle wouldn't have any of the rust going already that you don't want covered. Aluminum will turn to powder just like steel will, it's just different powder.
