We pulled home a J&M 750 years ago and dealer gave us a pin that we've used to pull lots of implements with single tang hitch. It's a 1" x 6" bolt with 3/8" thick bushings and then a 4.5" washer cut out of half inch plate. Tighten it through the hitch onto the single tang and then double nut it. The problem with a double tang hitch commonly available for a pickup and pulling a wagon like that with a scale is the lack of room between the tangs.
