wahpeton, nd | I believe that was the machine I rode on about 14 yrs ago. We were near Centre ND. Another is working by Beuhla. there is a couple of them up there. They had a 24 or 2640 John Deere sitting by the machine and its purpose was to move the extension cord powering that thing. totally fascinating!! the operator sat in his seat and run a couple little levers to operate it. a computer kept track of every move the thing made. lunch room, rest room and seating behind operator for visitors. cables on that thing must have been 4-5 inch in diameter. Friend of mine works for the mine and gave me a good tour. also saw the big trucks for coal hauling and the biggest damn Cats for pushing the dirt back in for land reclamation. A site I would reccomend all to see. | |
