Subject: RE: John Deere 9RT

south east SD
We had a 9560RT then traded to a 9570RT to get away from the Deere 13.5 motor. 9570 has a 14.9L Cummins.

9560 has oil in the anti freeze that Deere stood behind, needed a new ECM that fooled with the emission controls?
A turbo actuator I think? Then little wires breaking to different things, temperature sensor in the cab for ac. A bunch of small things.

Ride, really good in the field. On the road I don’t see to much difference than our 4x4 other when going over a berm. Then the track tractor has to fall in/down. Not really something you run across very often but you better be prepared for it, go slow and it’s just fine.

RT don’t like mud especially on one side then it turns itself into the mud. Then stop, raise up, point your nose away from the pothole and drive ahead without touching the steering wheel and you might walk out. If not it doesn’t take much to pull it out. If you drive straight into a mud hole, well good luck!

9570, the only issue we have had is a bad alternator, know issue I guess. It would only put out 12.7 and slowly run out of juice and start to shut down controllers for steering and stuff. Wish I had checked with a truck shop but didn’t want to waste time if it didn’t match up, $700 from Deere! Does someone know if a truck shop be cheaper?

Good luck
