Would renting a grain vac be less hassle? If generator will run the unload until you get down to needing the sweep auger, you'd only need the vac for a load or two at the end. We empty several grain bins a year where there is no power with a grain vac out the door. They're 18s though.
What kind of grain vac? I used one that I bought. (So likely rather worn out). But it loaded maybe 3x as fast as a 4” portable auger out bin door. It was nice. The fact I didn’t need another auger to box. But that tractor went thru plenty fuel IMO. |
