Near-north Ontario, French River | slowing down helps but it isnt the entire answer all the time, but speed is usually a factor. The only time I've flipped ATV I was going less than 5mph. We were trail riding and I got stuck crossways in some deep ruts in a water filled hole.... put the ATV in reverse and tried to back up. The tires weren't even spinning but one rear tire grabbed the rut ( maybe an unseen rock??) .. swung the rear of the ATV around, the front dropped deeper into the hole, .... the rear end went up and before I knew it I was on side... the ATV on top of me. I wasn't pinned but took some struggling and swearing to get out from underneath of it. It all happened in less than a second. Lucky I was with others, as there was no way I was going to get the Grizzy upright on my own again. |
