Personally, I'd leave the scale deck alone. If you have room for a 500-600 bushel pit that would empty a whole hopper at a time. With your existing leg that would be 6.5min per hopper. Remote start/shutdown leg and electric traps on hopper bottoms, you could be in and out in 7min. Put a scoreboard on your scale and have the trucker write down weights.

Speed up your existing leg or put in a larger leg and that turnaround time comes down to 5min with a 6,000bu/h leg or 3.5min with a 8,000bu/h leg. Electric traps can make a smaller pit more efficient.

End dumps will work with a smaller pit but will cost you a couple minutes per load in a smaller pit b
