I thought recently I saw a picture of a double pit unit and the cost of just the pit was $130,000. I am envious of your current set up. We run about 400,000 bushels of corn through a 13” swing away auger.

Depending on how you look at it, we were lucky or very unlucky to purchase this old small elevator site. It’s a constant source of repairs and maintenance with how someone else designed it in the 80s lol. But it also cost us a fraction of what doing this ourselves would have.

It’s just hard to tear something out that “works” to make an improvement.

My millwright builds his own version of a Lowry style pit that he said is around 30k. I just don’t know if I have the room to pull flighting for future service with how crowded it is around my leg. That’s why we are exploring all our options now.
