I hope this doesnt come across wrong.. but you've got a nice little bin site there. How many bushels are running through it in a year? You're looking at some SERIOUS coin to do what you want to do,,, just wonder if you have really put a pencil too it? I cant but think you'd need +5000ac of grain to justify the costs.


Nothing to come across wrong imo, all valid questions.

Have you priced a used truck and new grain hopper lately? A new hopper is 60-70k now… it’s just crazy. Either way our receiving leg is going to need serious work or replaced in the near future, so that’s cash we will have to spend at some point. If we can get a pit for the cost of another truck and trailer we will be ahead not struggling to find someone to drive it.

I don’t mind investing in infrastructure like this that will probably last generations.
