Thumb of Michigan | Back in the day when I still had my day job, it was pretty necessary to answer the phone. However, if you wait 3-4 seconds after picking up the phone (clicking answer) to say hello, you will screen out a lot of nonsense calls. Seems a fair amount of these calls are computer generated (saving time for the telemarketers dialing) and if there is a blank pause (3-4 seconds), computer will hang up on you verses transferring you to a live telemarketer. I'd say 80% of these types of calls will be gone by doing this. | |
