We are going to invest in a dump pit and eliminate a truck at harvest. With the cost of trucks, trailers, and finding drivers we feel this is our best long term option.

Thoughts?

Is this a corn only facility, or corn and soybeans? About how much is run through it annually? Just curious at what point or volume people justify the convenience of a fast single dump facility over other slightly less convenient systems. We dump in a fast conveyor at this point and a dump pit is not practical due to high water table. A dump pit would essentially be a well for us.
