North Mississippi Delta / Alabama Gulf Coast | I remember being in the very back seat of a Rambler Station Wagon heading to a K-Mart for a school clothes sale when at a red light, guy next car over was yelling and screaming about Kennedy being shot. We went back home and watched the nation go into mourning on black & white tv.

I read a recent internet article that Kennedy’s secretary, named Lincoln, claimed that he told her LBJ would not be his VP when he ran for re-election prior to the Texas trip.
She also claimed that LBJ fired her day one when returning from Texas to the White House.
This was apparently a death bed confession??
