East Central Indiana | Everyone’s situation is different but for me a large enough to dump a whole truck wasn’t worth the extra cost.
Yes it would be super nice and convenient
I put in a 550 bu speedy pit that goes to a 10” double run conveyor. Truck pulls in dumps the entire front hopper.
Pulls up starts the back hopper. By the time they check the dryer or take a moisture sample the back hopper is empty and back on the road.
So far it’s been a great investment. We were able to get rid of one truck and trailer.
Also within a few miles it’s still quick enough for 1 truck keep with with a class 7 combine pushing an 8 tow head in 230 bushel corn.
I don’t have near enough storage so I was able to send one truck hauling dry corn to town to make room. And still keep up with the combine with 1 truck from the field to the dryer.
