N E Iowa | My brother and a partner just put up a new receiving leg and a L & R dump pit. They discussed the exact thing you are proposing with 2 conveyors. They found a guy that wasn't going to use his pit this year and bought it from him. So they didn't go the 2 conveyor route. Man that made a huge difference to be able to dump both hoppers at once and get the truck going again.
One of the big things the wanted was to be able to dump both hoppers with out moving the truck. That saves time. The deep pit was a concern with drainage but after some surveying we went 1000 feet into the field and pulled in a new drain. Used an excavator on the deepest part by the pit. The pit has a 12' basement and the ground is built up about 2 to 3 feet.
They went from a 400 bu pit and a 4000 bph leg to a 1100 bu pit and a 10,000 bph leg. No waiting at the dump now with 2 12 row combines
