I actually have no disposal costs here. After turning in the paper, glass, and cans for recycling and taking metal junk to the scrapyard, there's very little left to dispose of. There's not much else. Maybe rubber items, V belts.

Similar here. I'm not as diligent about recycling, but I don't pay for disposal either. Large metal stuff gets tossed on a pile behind the silos, and hauled to the salvage yard every year or so. Small metal scrap is dumped into barrels, and also goes to salvage. Our local salvage yards don't differentiate between aluminum, copper, and steel, so I don't bother to sort them either.

Bulky wood waste gets burned on a pile in a ditch where the nails won't be a problem. Some plastic inevitably makes its way onto those burn piles as well.

Everything else goes into plastic 55-gallon barrels. Once a month, the barrels are loaded into a pickup and hauled to the county transfer station five miles away. They don't charge for 'household' trash, which they define as anything in bags or barrels, so this goes in for free as well.
