The old dairy barn and milkhouse were built with the expectation that the electric lines would be arriving in a few years. Until that happened, they used the facilities to ship cream, which didn't require as much refrigeration. I expect the first thing that was powered by electricity was the milk cooler, which allowed them to start shipping milk. This was all sometime around 1930.
