Subject: RE: Good microwave popcorn

Roseglen, North Dakota
I make popcorn and give it away.
About (150) 50# bags in the last few years.
The vast majority of the.posters were negative on microwave and I have to agree.
I visited the 3 biggest movie theaters near me and combined my own experience with what they do.
Basically good popcorn is only 3 ingredients. Oil, salt, and popcorn.
The brand of popcorn means almost nothing. Its the type of oil, the amount of oil used, and the amount/kind of salt used.
Watch the theaters. They pour the oil in first then the salt, and then the popcorn .
When it pops every kernel is the same because the kernels are oiled and salted the same.
Cant do that with microwave or even on a stove top.
Best one for home owners.is a Stir Crazy. If not big enough buy a small stainless kettle one.
