Have a 95 year old aunt who says it was like the sun came up in that room when the electric light bulb came on.
My mom, born 1927, had graduated high school prior to electricity coming thru our area (we live half a mile south of where she grew up). Until about 20 yrs ago, we still had the same poles and lines that were originally put in in 1946. |
