My Dad was very young when electricity started coming to this area, probably 3 or 4 years old. He said he remembers when his grandparents got power right before the US entered WW2. They lived about a mile away from Dad and my grandparents but all construction stopped at that point and my grandparents did not get electricity until a year or so after the war.
