I've always been told that around here, it was the milk barn that got electricity first.
This what I was told too, along with the pump jack (replacing the windmill) to cool the milk, to get water to the barn. I just had the original meter boxes removed/replaced this year. Was told the boxes where actually mine if I wanted to keep them but the guts belonged to utility company. |
