Thumb of Michigan | I have almost a constant nasal drainage, that causes a cough (or coughing spell). My doc finally put me on a nasal spray twice a day (along with an allergy pill e.g. Claritin/Allegeria). Did it eliminate it, no but greatly reduced the incidence. He claims it's like an allergy, caused by old age. I usually keep a cough drop handy too.
Edit: the over-the-counter nasal spray didn't get the job done.
