Gold is mobile. In case of a catastrophic natural event or government upheaval requiring a person to relocate and start over, precious metals have universal value. Land that becomes contaminated, under a layer of ash, or seized by the government, not so much. That being said, I own ground and not a single ounce of any type of precious metal.
Which is the best investment?
