Depends on whether that is just the tractor and operator or is the bar included.
Tractor bar and operator is money maker here @ $12 acre. Problem with too many is they have too much invested in over priced equipment.
Put Nh3 on with a 9370 Quadtrack that cost $53,000 and 50 foot CIH 5300 nh3 bar that cost $9000
Where do I find these 9000$ 20 knife bars? Also I suppose there are no maintenance on said bar?
Bought it on auction from Fert dealer. There were three of them sold that day for $9-$12000.. Guy I know bought a nice 5300 50 Ft NH3 bar last year for $6000. $1 acre more than covers NH3 bar repairs since have owned it.
As usual I’m not watching the same auctions and my 5300 bar seems to soak up more than 1$/ac repairs.
Have been over about 11,000 acres since bought the bar and haven't spent $11,000 in repairs.
Your soils must be very easy! Helps pull tanks to follow last year that did about 6,000 acres. 15 knife rig wore out one and a half sets of mole knives, I know he replaced a half a dozen shanks and a couple of Coulter assemblies, bent up a couple of wing cylinders, did quite a bit of reinforcing on the frame, I helped to replace all of the distribution hoses about the second day of running in 30° weather. 4 year old rig.
He is not a rough operator..
